Nel mese di dicembre tutta la Riviera Adriatica si anima di Presepi e dal 5 dicembre l’Acquario di Cattolica, inaugura la 4° edizione di “Presepi sott’acqua” . Grazie all’adesione di nuovi artisti, spiccano opere provenienti da San Gregorio Armeno il quartiere popolare di Napoli, famoso nel mondo per le caratteristiche vie dei Presepi. Due maestri napoletani, Giuseppe e Marco Ferrigno, capiscuola nell’arte della terracotta napoletana, portano a Cattolica la Natività dell’antica tradizione settecentesca, le cui caratteristiche sono date dall’ utilizzo degli stessi materiali impiegati da oltre cento cinquant'anni: le teste in terracotta policromata, gli occhi in cristallo, gli arti in legno e gli abiti in seta di S. Leucio.(Caserta). Il Gesù bambino è interamente realizzato in legno massiccio e dipinto a mano.
Un'altra importante novità di quest’anno è data dal Presepe in terracotta naturale di Deruta, la patria della maiolica artistica umbra, ad opera di Antonio Guastaveglie, il fondatore dell'Azienda "Creazioni Ceramiche Deruta", artigiano per passione nell’arte del presepe, un arte che si tramanda da 30 anni di generazione in generazione.
Nuove opere inedite in terracotta naturale sono quelle create appositamente per questa rassegna dallo scultore toscano Romano Dini, l’artista di Montevarchi, famoso per le sue particolari sacre famiglie in ceramica e bronzo, che ha esposto in numerose rassegne nazionali dedicate all’arte sacra . La leggerezza e l’eleganza delle bolle in vetro soffiato al cui interno si intravedono delicate Natività, sono opera del maestro Mauro glazier Puccitelli Matelica (MC).
